Summertime highs at Hogback Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going for a hike on the Foothills Trail is always a nice adventure, and one of the main marks of the surroundings of Hogback Lake is Bald Rock Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Westridge is a delightful campground here, and you can go for a hike on the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. Hogback Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all                  the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is October. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Scaly Mountain has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and dry warm beds await you at Sapphire Valley Resort. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tuckasegee River; if you need a place to stay Greystone Inn is a perfect choice. And that's not all you can do here at Hogback Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Red Bird Golf Links; not far from Hogback Lake you get some great water scenery at Hogback Dam. Boneyard Gap is near Hogback Lake and is absolutely a good place to stop at, and why not check out nearby Burlingame Creek if you're here at Hogback Lake. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Hogback Lake has it all. You're sure to run into some smiling people from Brevard here; Hogback Lake is a fine site to camp, Panther Ridge RV Park and Community is a fine site.
