Whitewater paddling is fine on Toxaway River - Upper; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hogback Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hogback       Lake. If you're here at Hogback Lake and you like golf, you can go to Red Bird Golf Links, and since you're here, you might as well pop by Boneyard Gap. This lake is so wonderful. From Hogback Lake you obtain a magnificent sight of Bald Rock Mountain, and get soaked paddling on Tuckasegee River. Hogback Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Panther Ridge RV Park and Community is a brilliant local campground, and you'll meet a lot of people                  from Brevard here. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. A lovely lake like Sapphire Lake right next door to Hogback Lake is a great place to explore. There's so much to do here at Hogback Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Westridge is a pleasant place for that. So many exciting things to do at Hogback Lake, so little time. Sapphire Valley Resort is a tremendous place to get some rest; do take a hike on the Foothills Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. After a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a fine site to spend a night or two, and not far from Hogback Lake you get some pleasant water scenery at Hogback Dam. This place is excellent, just check out all the cool things to do close to Hogback Lake. Hogback Lake is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is unbeatable!
