So many entertaining things to do at Hodge Lake, so little time. High temperatures at Hodge Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Hodge Lake drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, McGuire Lake is right next door to       Hodge Lake, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Caldwell Fork Trail. Skiing at Cataloochee is one of those things you just must do, and whitewater paddling is nice on Scotts Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Chestnut Gap while you're here at Hodge Lake; Hodge Dam has fine water scenery. Why not camp at Savannah Creek RV Resort if you're here at Hodge Lake; close by you hit upon the Whiteside Mountain National                  Recreation Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a splendid time. On a delightful day at Hodge Lake you can take a hike along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and paddling on Tuckasegee River is so much fun. This is a wonderful region for folks who like lakes. Sylva Reservoir is a lake around here, and some nearby water includes Cane Creek. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Hodge Lake is a wet location that gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is October. Just can't get enough of Hodge Lake. A wonderful place to camp here at Hodge Lake is Moonshine Creek, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dillsboro, Nc is a splendid spot to get some rest. All the outdoors cool things in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back time and again.
