Looking for some flowing water? Try Brush Creek, and Greensboro Campground is a good local campground. A magnificent nearby hotel is Proximity Hotel, and you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Foster Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hillside Lake gets a great deal of water; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. Hillside Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. This is a tremendous region for people who like lakes. Hunsuckle Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and a round of golf at nearby Longview Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some
time. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great world it would be. Whitewater paddling is fine on Reedy Fork Creek, and if you need a spot to stay Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport is a nice choice.

 | 19 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ... |
