Camping is available at Hiddenite Family Campground, and Hill Lake is not far at all from Statesville-Mooresville. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. High temperatures at Hill Lake during the summer       are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Hill Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. A lot of rainfall falls at Hill Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and November is the month with the least moisture. Hill Lake Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here; a great nearby hotel is Corporate Suites of Statesville.
