All year is a pleasant time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you adore the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Highlands Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Van Hook Glade Campground is a wonderful site for that, and a day on the slopes of Scaly Mountain is just what you need. Highlands Reservoir is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Not far from Highlands Reservoir, you'll come across Cliffside                  Lake which is a lovely lake; what would a spot like Highlands Reservoir be without interesting nearby marks like Western Cliffs. The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a good site to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Three Forks Trail. Having a fine time at Highlands Reservoir is trouble-free. Highlands Reservoir is near Cole Gap which is beyond doubt worth going to; why not a little side tour to Bad Branch. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Vanhook Glade Campground is a tremendous place to do that, and the top of Cole Mountain is easily seen from Highlands Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Highlands Reservoir, for example Hidden Lake, and after a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. An afternoon playing golf at Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis is always a bliss, and Highlands Reservoir is right by the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. So much entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just inspiring. Summertime at Highlands Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Highlands Reservoir dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
