    Why not stop by Highlands Lake if you're passing through these parts. Summertime highs at Highlands Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Highlands Lake are in the 20's. A spree to Bridal Veil Falls will fill your soul with good feelings, and there's whitewater on Cullasaja River for all you adrenaline junkies.  
   Highlands Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Sequoyah Dam; if you came to camp Vanhook Glade Campground is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis is a golf course near Highlands Lake; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing
 
               at Sky Valley while you're here. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Highlands Lake.
That right there is a lot of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Hiking along the Three Forks Trail is glorious fun, and The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a good place to get some rest. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Highlands Lake. Big Creek is a tremendous place to stop by, and what would winter be without some skiing at Scaly Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Highlands Lake is right by the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and from Highlands Lake you obtain a fine sight of Big Dog Mountain.
Looking for something near Highlands Lake? Cliffside Lake is around here, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Highlands is a delightful place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Highlands Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Van Hook Glade Campground is a tremendous spot for that.
