Highlands Lake is a nice lake to visit. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day outdoors The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and do stop at Sequoyah Dam while you're here. You simply should love Highlands Lake. Gotta ski! Sky Valley is a glorious spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Scaly Mountain, and Lake Sequoyah is

Don't leave Highlands Lake without first going for a hike along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bridal Veil Falls. If you need a site to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a perfect choice, and Big Dog Mountain is clearly visible from Highlands Lake. the driest month is October. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis is a delightful golf course nearby, and Highlands
Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Vanhook Glade Campground is a great place to camp nearby. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Highlands Lake. There are great sites to explore along the
Three Forks Trail, and hey, Big Creek is a delightful local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Van Hook Glade Campground is a glorious local campground, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not have a look at Mirror Lake. For
the duration of the months of summer at Highlands Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Highlands Lake night low temperatures
during the winter are in the 20's. Highlands Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going for a hike on the Shortoff Mountain Trail is always a great adventure; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cullasaja River.
