The high level of rain makes High Lake a quite wet spot; most of the rain falls all through June, and the driest month is December. Green Mountain Park Resort is a glorious campground nearby, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at High Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Lenoir is a pleasant place to get some rest, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Elk Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from High Lake, you'll come across Lenoir Water Supply Lake which is a delightful lake; a round of golf at nearby Lenoir Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time. here at High Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at High Lake are in the 10's.
This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stay the night at Pine Mountain Campground; you're sure to run into some cheerful folks from Hickory-Morganton-Lenoir
here. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day outdoors Lenoir-Days Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Yadkin River for all you adrenaline junkies.
