This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Hidden Lake is Van Hook Glade Campground; if you're a golfer then a great close by course is High Hampton Inn & Country Club. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Hidden Lake. Near Hidden Lake you come across the Shortoff Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and the vista of Goat Knob is scenic. Going for a hike on the       Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is always a nice adventure; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Cullasaja River. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Scaly Mountain is in the neighborhood of Hidden Lake, and close by you hit upon perfect spots like Shortoff Gap. Hidden Lake is a wet location that gets lots of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least                  amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year at Hidden Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Hidden Lake. Hidden Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a tremendous site to spend a night or two; most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Allison Lake is just a very short distance away. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You're most likely addicted to lakes, Whiteside Lake is one of those nearby, and a delightful close by hotel is The Inn at Half Mile Farm. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Norton Creek; unsurprisingly Grassy Camp Creek flows through this area. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hidden Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Arrowmont Stables and Cabins is a good local campground; wonderful water scenery is available at Whiteside Lake Dam near Hidden Lake. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hidden Lake. The skiing at Sky Valley is magnificent, and you can go for a hike on the Ellicott Rock Trail.
