If you came to camp Summit Conference center is a perfect spot to do that, also Hesters Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here. During the summer highs here at Hester Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Hester Lake night       low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 20's. Camping at Dan River Campground is always a great experience; if you get bored of Hester Lake you could also explore nearby Hesters Lake. So many exciting things next to Hester Lake, truly fantastic. Hester Lake is not the only location nearby, Lake Hunt is a nearby lake, and after a long day outdoors Colonial Inn and Suites is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.                  For you golfers we recommend close by Monroeton Golf Club, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Reedy Fork Creek.
