The high level of rainfall makes Heron Lakes a relatively wet site; July       is when you get the most rain here; April meanwhile is the driest month. A pleasant close by hotel is The Decanter Inn, and don't miss out on a pleasant swamp; Flat Swamp is right here at Heron Lakes. This lake is so wonderful.
