And that's not all you can do here at Henry Harris Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area right next door to Henry Harris Lake has to offer. A day on the slopes of Hawksnest is just what you need; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious place to spend a night or two. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful.       This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail is great fun, obviously you could also explore Leibhart Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Looking for some flowing water? Try Roses Creek; you don’t have to go far from Henry Harris Lake to distinguish the water at Henry Harris Dam. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a great time. Take a hike on the Daniel Boone Scout Trail, and Rose Creek Family Campground is a nice local                  campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail; there's whitewater on Steels Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Head up to Appalachian Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Upper Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Goodmans Lake, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Quaker Meadows Golf club Room is close at hand. A wonderful close by hotel is Days Inn And Suites, and Optimistic RV Resort is a delightful campground nearby. The high level of precipitation makes Henry Harris Lake a rather wet site; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and December on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the summer at Henry Harris Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.
