Not far from Henredon Lake you obtain some fine water scenery at Henredon Dam. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Appalachian Mountain, and if you get bored of Henredon Lake you could also take a look at close by Broughton Hospital Reservoir. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Float down the rapids of Catawba River in a kayak, and why not camp       at Optimistic RV Resort while you're here at Henredon Lake. Henredon Lake in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. There are plenty of folks from Forest City here at Henredon Lake, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a splendid site to spend a night or two. For the duration of the warm months at Henredon Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's.
