Henredon Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The scenery at Henredon Dam close to Henredon Lake is stunning, and if you come at the right time of year, Johns River offers some good whitewater. At Henredon Lake all through the summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is quite cooler of course, typically in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold

| | winter nights at Henredon Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Forest City here. And if that's not enough there's plenty more entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Appalachian Mountain; some of the water nearby flows, like Clear Creek. What a place this is for outdoors folks. natural beauty of this region, and Optimistic RV Resort is a fine campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Rose Creek Family Campground is a good local campground, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn And Suites is a delightful
site to spend a night or two. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you're here at Henredon Lake you can take a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail, and
Silver Creek Plantation Golf Club Restaurant is a golf course nearby. Drift down the rapids of Catawba River in a kayak; a delightful close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. Henredon Lake is a quite wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; March is when you get the most rain here while January is usually the driest month.
