If you are traveling by, why not stop by Heart Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. There's so much to do here at Heart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Sky Ranch is a delightful spot for that. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Heart Lake Dam is a charming site close to Heart Lake, and not far from Heart

| | Lake you'll discover Bass Lake which is a beautiful lake. Heart Lake generally gets a good deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through May; December is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not enough there's lots more entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You might want to pay a visit to Sandy Flat Gap since you're here at Heart Lake, and great skiing awaits you at Hawksnest. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. | |

While you're here at Heart Lake you can take a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail, and Heart Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Honey Bear Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is one of the great
places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boone Fork, and as expected Flat Top Branch is a picturesque stream that is worth visiting.
Man, is there heaps of cool stuff to do next to Heart Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Blowing Rock Victorian Inn B&B; at Heart Lake you can spot Flat Top Mountain. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what
a great planet it would be. Golf can be played at Boone Golf Club; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Appalachian Mountain. Thunderhole Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close to Heart Lake. Lakes are great;
Cone Lake is a lake that's next to Heart Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Ridgeway Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; there are plenty of folks from Boone here at Heart Lake. For the
duration of the summertime, highs mostly are in the 70's at Heart Lake; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Heart Lake.
