Little River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and you'll probably meet some folks from Brevard here. Hawkins Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Hawkins Lake. Hawkins Lake is in close proximity to Ballard       Gap which is absolutely worth taking a look at, and lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Mother Earth Upper. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you're here at Hawkins Lake you can take a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to Blue Ridge Parkway since you're here at Hawkins Lake, and do visit Betty Branch while you're here at Hawkins Lake. Why not camp at Mountain Laurel Resort since you're here at Hawkins Lake, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Hawkins Lake. Going for a hike along the Mullinax Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. A splendid spot to camp here at Hawkins Lake is Little River Camping Resort, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Brevard is a good choice. Hawkins Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Summertime highs at Hawkins Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while Hawkins Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
