Go to Harris Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't leave Harris Lake without first paying a visit to Highlands Falls; here at Harris Lake you can catch a sight of Bearpen Mountain. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you're here at Harris Lake and you like golf, you can have a look at Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis, and Scaly Mountain is a pleasant local ski area. warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Harris Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the
winter at Harris Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. Don't forget to take a pleasant little spree to Ammons Branch, and if you're interested in cool geologic characteristics try Sunset Rock. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has
so much outdoors cool stuff. Mirror Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and this is a popular place for folks from Seneca. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Harris Lake; Ellicott Rock Trail is a nice local
trail; The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a wonderful spot to get some rest. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Harris Lake has it all. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Cullasaja River; if you need a place to
stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a splendid choice. Harris Lake gets a great deal of water; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is generally the driest month. So many exciting things to do in the Blue Ridge
Mountains, not enough time. There's nice hiking along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and the slopes of Sky Valley are so inviting noone can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Harris Lake without first going for a hike along the Three Forks Trail; camping at Van Hook Glade Campground is always a nice experience.
