Going for a hike along the Cascade Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and obviously Bill Branch flows through this vicinity. Through the months of summer here at Hanes Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hanes Lake descend       into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. This is a nice vicinity for folks who like lakes. Shattalon Lake is a lake close at hand, and you can run the rapids of Yadkin River. Hiking along the Moores Knob Trail is magnificent fun. Take a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Grandview Golf Club is in the neighborhood. Hanes Lake gets a great deal of water; during the month of March you get the most rain                  around here; November is the month with the least moisture. If you came for an overnight stay Jomeokee Campground is a fine site to camp, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Big Creek. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Hanes Lake. Camping is available at Tanglewood Family Resort, and an attention-grabbing thing to pop by in close proximity to Hanes Lake is Hanes Lake Dam. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hill Top Lake is near Hanes Lake, and if you need a location to stay Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott Winston-Salem is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful.
