Hancock Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Nutbush Bridge Campground is a good local campground, and a quick trip to Jordan Creek is certainly a splendid idea. For the duration of the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Hancock Lake. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; overnight lows all through the wintertime for Hancock       Lake tend to be in the 20's. There are plenty of folks from Henderson here at Hancock Lake, also Hancock Lake Dam is worth going to if you're here. There's whitewater on Tar River for all you adrenaline junkies; Comfort Inn & Suites Oxford is a perfect place to get some rest.
