This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Sanderling Resort and Spa is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Lakes are delightful; Big Pond is a lake that's close to The Hammock. Summer at The Hammock comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold       winter nights at The Hammock are in the 30's. The high level of rainfall makes The Hammock a rather wet place; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is November. Goose Creek Golf & Country Club is a wonderful golf course close by, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Jeep Trail. This location is excellent, just check out all the amusing stuff to do near The Hammock. North River                  Campground is a splendid campground nearby, and on a glorious day you can pop by Big Narrows, a swamp right next door to The Hammock. A wonderful close by hotel is Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks-Corolla, and not far from The Hammock you'll locate House Pond which is a wonderful lake. Why not stop by Cattle Pen Point also if you're here; close by Gallop Shoal is a perfect spot to go.
