Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hackneys Mill Pond are in the 20's. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Hackneys Mill Pond, too good to be true. You'll meet a lot of folks from Burlington here;       Hidden Lake Campgrounds is a wonderful campground nearby. Hackneys Mill Pond is a rather wet place generally with a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is November. Hackneys Millpond Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Rocky River. Loves Creek is a stunning stream that is worth going to; a lake nearby is Siler                  City Water Supply Lake Number Two. Cane Creek Campground and RV Park is a fine local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Deep River, and if you need a place to stay Siler City Days Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful.
