Greenhill Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Visit School House Creek if you're here at Greenhill Lake, and drift down the rapids of Ararat River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Quality Inn Mount Airy, and not far from Greenhill Lake you'll discover Dry Lake which is a gorgeous lake. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge       Mountains. There are plenty of people from Mount Airy here at Greenhill Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Skyland Lakes Golf Club. If you need a site to stay Mt. Airy Knights Inn is a good choice, and if you came to camp Fancy Gap Cabins & Camp Grnds is a glorious place to do that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camping at Utt's Campground is always a good experience; if you come at the right time of year, Big Reed Island Creek                  offers some splendid whitewater. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Greenhill Lake. On a brilliant day at Greenhill Lake you can take a hike along the Run Trail, and there are other places here than Greenhill Lake, for example City Lake. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summertime at Greenhill Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Greenhill Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
