Lots of precipitation falls at Great Pond; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and November is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Cape Lookout National Seashore is a pleasant local destination here at Great Pond; you can spend the day on the beach at The Sands. Through the summertime here at Great Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 80's with night       lows in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Great Pond. Swamps like Beach Marsh are fun to pop by, and if you came for an overnight stay Driftwood Campground is a brilliant location to camp. Time spent at Old House Beach close to Great Pond is always good, and since you're here you should pop by Cedar Island Bay.
