Great Lake is a nice lake to visit. Do stop by Lake Ellis Simon near Great Lake, it's a pretty lake; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Havelock, Nc. This lake is so wonderful. Quality Inn Havelock is a brilliant location to get some rest; camping at White Oak Shores Camping and RV Resort is always a brilliant experience. Good hiking is available along the Neusiok Trail; while you're here, you could also stop at beautiful Long Lake.

| | gets a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do next to Great Lake. At Great Lake all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 70's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Great Lake tend to be in the 30's.
