Grant Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. The warmest time of the year at Grant Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Grant Lake during the winter mostly fall into the 20's. Microtel Inn Franklin is a great location to get some rest; some

Franklin RV Park and Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Sky Valley has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and Cartoogechaye River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. And if that's not enough there's plenty more entertaining stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whitewater paddling is good on Cullasaja River, and close by you hit upon the Gage Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out
Grant Dam if you're here at Grant Lake, and why not camp at Country woods since you're here at Grant Lake. Go for a hike on the Hurricane Creek Trail; the top of Lowery Knob is easily observed from Grant Lake.
You'll wish for
more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Grant Lake. If you need a spot to stay Carolina Motel is a good choice, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Mill Creek Country Club. Grant Lake gets much water; the month with most of the rain is March while October is commonly the driest month.
