The high level of rainfall makes Granite Lake a reasonably wet place; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month is April. A great close by hotel is Days Inn; on a gorgeous day you get a fine sight of Dunn Mountain from Granite Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel Salisbury is a wonderful place to get some rest; a round of golf at nearby McCanless Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time. For       the duration of the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Granite Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Granite Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Here at Granite Lake there are plenty of people from Salisbury, and why not camp at High Rock Lake Marina and Campground if you're here at Granite Lake. If only every                  site had this much outdoors fun things, what a great planet it would be. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on South Yadkin River; unsurprisingly, this is a tremendous area for people who like lakes, Mirror Lakes is a lake in the vicinity.
