If you like lakes and you're in this part of North Carolina you can check out Grandmother Lake. High temperatures at Grandmother Lake during the months of summer are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Grandmother Lake. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of North Harper Creek, and going for a hike along the Laurel Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Glen Golf Club is a perfect golf course close by; there's some flowing water nearby, Big Grassy Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay. | |

And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's so much to do here at Grandmother Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Grandfather Campground and Cabins is a splendid location for that, and perfect
skiing awaits you at Hawksnest. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Grandmother Lake is a spot with many visitors from Boone, and a cool spot to pop by is Linville Bluffs. One of the major
characteristics of the surroundings of Grandmother Lake is Beacon Heights, and you're most likely keen on lakes, Grandfather Mountain Lake is one of those nearby. So many entertaining things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just inspiring.
Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Yancey Ridge Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lost Cove Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Any time is a good time at Grandmother
Lake if you like the outdoors. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Appalachian Mountain, and dry warm beds await you at Beech Mountain Inns. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Why not go to Grandmother
Dam if you're here, and Deep Gap is a brilliant site to go to. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Grandmother Lake. Hiking along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail is nice fun, and Best Western Mountain Lodge At Banner
Elk is a good site to get some rest. Grandmother Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and December meanwhile is the driest month.
