While you're here at Gore Lake you can take a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail, and Gore Lake is a place with many visitors from Asheville. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Gore Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Gore Lake throughout the winter frequently fall       into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Ridge Parkway is a wonderful local destination here at Gore Lake, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Gore Lake is a wet location that gets much rain; March is when you get the most rain here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Lakes are such serene spots,                  why not take a look at Banks Lake close to Gore Lake, and the view of stunning Highpeak is good. Gore Lake is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Little River Camping Resort is a splendid location to camp nearby; Jump-Off Mountain Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. This place, Gore Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Enjoy a round of golf at Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club not far from Gore Lake, and Jump-Off Mountain Dam is a place that is right next door to Gore Lake. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Gore Lake. Stay the night at Blue Star Camps. A perfect place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Gore Lake is Little River, and going for a hike along the Mullinax Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. That right there is loads of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. A glorious close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BREVARD, and why not a little side trip to Blythe Mill Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
