So much enjoyable stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just mind-blowing. Good hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail, and there are some good whitewater spots on Johns River. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Leibhart Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Rose Creek Family Campground is a good site to camp. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even       more entertaining stuff to do here at Goodmans Lake. Henry Harris Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Catawba River. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Go for a hike on the Daniel Boone Scout Trail, and Quaker Meadows Golf club Room is a golf course close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Goodmans Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into                  the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Goodmans Lake are in the 10's. The slopes of Appalachian Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn And Suites is a magnificent choice.
