All the water falling down from the sky makes Gant Lake a wet place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; April on the other hand is the driest. Reedy Fork Creek has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by; camping at Cane Creek Campground and RV Park is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. A scenic lake like Mays Lake next to Gant Lake is a brilliant place to check out; after a long       day outdoors Best Western Burlington is a good place to spend a night or two. You can take a little trip to Mays Lake Dam while you're here at Gant Lake; while you're here you can play some golf at Shamrock Golf Club. Camping is available at Greensboro Campground; during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Burlington for sure. During the days of summer at Gant Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to                  the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Gant Lake.
