Very glorious water scenery is available at Foxcroft Lake Dam right next door to Foxcroft Lake; you can run the rapids of Neuse River. Beaverdam Creek is a great local stream, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Suites Raleigh is a good choice. Foxcroft Lake usually gets a good deal of precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is April. Beaverdam Lake
 | Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion.
