Fox Lake is a relatively wet place generally with a great deal of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is April. Through the summer months at Fox Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight       lows through the winter for Fox Lake tend to be in the 20's. You'll meet a lot of folks from Southern Pines here; paddling on Deep River is so much fun. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Fox Lake. For you golfers we recommend close by Hyland Hills Golf & Country Club, and whitewater paddling is fine on Little River. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn SOUTHERN PINES/PINEHURST                  is a wonderful site to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Pine Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp. You could also have a look at Lake McPhaul while you're here at Fox Lake; it's nearby, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Fox Lake Dam.
