Camping is available at Spring Hill Park, and a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Eno River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MEBANE, and hey, Mill Creek is a glorious local stream. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Forest Lake has it all. If       you need a place to stay Days Inn Burlington East NC is a tremendous choice, and why not pop by Forest Lake Dam while you're here. The high level of precipitation makes Forest Lake a reasonably wet place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and November is the month with the least moisture. You're perhaps interested in lakes, Lake Michael is one of those nearby, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Stone's Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a delightful close by course is Hideaway Farms Golf Course; Forest Lake is a site with many visitors from Burlington. High temperatures at Forest Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's.
