When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Ford Lake plunge into the 20's. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. A lake close by is Lake Wanteska, and Hampton Inn Brevard NC is a great site to get some       rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ford Lake; Art Loeb Trail is a pleasant local trail, and Walnut Gap is also a nice spot to look at. Ford Lake is a pretty wet place usually with a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Gwynn Valley is a pleasant site to do that, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BREVARD is a                  great choice. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Ford Lake has to offer. Ford Lake is not the only site close by, McFarland Lake is a close by lake, and Aiken Mountain is clearly visible from Ford Lake. Ford Lake is in the vicinity of Ford Lake Dam which is a lovely place without doubt worth taking a look at. There's so much to do here at Ford Lake that you need to camp here for a while, our 100 Acre Woods - Primitive Campground is a delightful spot for that. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of French Broad River - North Fork close to Ford Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Adams Branch. Take a hike on the Mullinax Trail, and Ford Lake is not far at all from Brevard. And that's not all you can do here at Ford Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is abundant here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
