Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club is a wonderful location to get some rest; camping is available at Pine Lake Campground. High temperatures at Fly Rod Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Fly Rod Lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Sanford here, and Spring Valley Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. If you get bored of Fly Rod Lake, you could also stop by nearby Pine Lake. Camping and Recreation. There's whitewater on Deep River for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a spot to stay Little River Golf & Resort is a great choice. The high level of precipitation makes Fly Rod Lake a pretty wet site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and April is the month with the least moisture.
