Flat Top Mountain Lake is great! There is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Flat Top Mountain Lake called the Side Hill Trail; camping is available at K O A Kampgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Rocky Broad River offers some splendid whitewater, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Flattop Mountain Dam close to Flat Top Mountain Lake. Very       gorgeous scenery and tremendous skiing is what you get at Wolf Laurel, and here at Flat Top Mountain Lake you can see Flat Top. If you yearn for a little side journey, try Kelley Cove; a visit to Blue Ridge Parkway is recommended. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Flat Top Mountain Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
