So many entertaining things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too good to be true. The Buck Spring Trail is a tremendous hiking trail right next door to Fishers Lake, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Springdale Country Club. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pigeon River - East Fork, and       Fishers Lake is near Burnett Cove which is positively worth visiting. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Man, is there loads of enjoyable stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's whitewater on Pigeon River - West Fork for all you thrill seekers, and why not take a little journey to Dutch Cove Creek if you're here. The summit of Chestnut Mountain can be seen from Fishers Lake; you can never get enough of the wonderful                  skiing at Cataloochee. There is a fine hiking trail close to Fishers Lake called the Pilot Rock Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Asheville here at Fishers Lake. Fishers Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain; October is when it's the driest. If you need a site to stay Asheville-Days Inn West is a pleasant choice, and wonderful skiing awaits you at Ski Beech. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Fishers Lake is Earthbound Lodging, and nearby you find the Thompson Ridge Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. The warmest time of the year at Fishers Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Fishers Lake during the winter commonly plunge into the 20's. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things close to Fishers Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Canton. This lake is so wonderful.
