On a gorgeous day you get a vista of Chestnut Mountain from Fishers Lake, and Fishers Lake is not far at all from Asheville. At Fishers Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while       the cold winter nights at Fishers Lake are in the 20's. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a tremendous time. Going for a hike along the Thompson Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you're here at Fishers Lake, you could also explore scenic Broyhill Lake; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Canton is a fine location to spend a night or two.                  This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Visiting Blue Ridge Parkway is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and everybody close by loves skiing at Cataloochee. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do next to Fishers Lake. Do go to Canton Reservoir in close proximity to Fishers Lake, it's a delightful lake, and hey, Gotta ski right? Ski Beech is a great place to do that. Burnett Cove is a fine place to take a look at nearby; since you're here, you could check out Dutch Cove Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - Canton, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Pilot Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Fishers Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Asheville West KOA is a nice spot to camp nearby, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Springdale Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Earthbound Lodging is a perfect local campground, and Pigeon River - West Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back persistently.
