It is a very great lake for fishing. There is absolutly no recreation(jet-skiers, water skiers). You must be careful, there are many unmarked water hazards (most are near the upper dam). I wouldn't take an expensive boat on the lake.

The perfect place to find yourself lost among nature and forget all of your ''big'' city problems without a 3 day hike into the woods.

Falls Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Stay the night at Badin Lake Group Campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Badin Lake is in the neighborhood of Falls Reservoir, and a range like the Uwharrie Mountains is always picturesque. Falls Reservoir is a wet site that gets a large amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls during June, and April is the month with the least moisture.

| | nice little visit to Dutch John Creek, and a delightful close by hotel is Sleep Inn Albemarle. You can take a little trip to Yadkin Falls Dam since you're here at Falls Reservoir; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Albemarle, Nc is a delightful choice. At Falls Reservoir through the summertime highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun | |

is down during the wintertime temperatures at Falls Reservoir plunge into the 20's.
Man, is there heaps of cool things to do next to Falls Reservoir. Fall Mountain is clearly visible from Falls Reservoir, and don't leave Falls
Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Uwharrie Jeep Trail. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Rocky River; Badin Lake Campground is a fine campground nearby. Go for a hike on the Uwharrie National Recreation
Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Uwharrie River.
This lake is so wonderful. During your journey to Falls Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Albemarle for sure, and great hiking is available along the Birkhead Trail.
