| | Pond Number One is a nearby lake; there are plenty of folks from Raleigh-Cary here at Falls Lake. Summertime highs at Falls Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Falls Lake plunge into the 20's. Beaverdam Lake
 | Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion. ... |
