    Why not stop by Fairfield Lake if you're passing through these parts. All through the months of summer at Fairfield Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Fairfield Lake are in the 20's. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay  
   Westridge is a tremendous spot to camp; a brilliant location for whitewater paddling is Whitewater River.

This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Red Bird Golf Links, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tuckasegee River. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect site near Fairfield Lake is Boneyard Gap, and if the weather is beautiful, you acquire a splendid vista of Bald Rock Mountain from Fairfield Lake. Wolf Creek Overlook is a good campground nearby, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Fairfield Falls.
Be careful coming to Fairfield Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Some of the water close by flows, like Logan Creek, and after a long day outdoors Sapphire Valley Resort is a splendid place to spend a night or two.
