Near Ennis Pond you come across the American Beech Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and Ennis Pond is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Lazy Acres is a good spot to camp nearby. From Ennis Pond you obtain a good sight of Killens Hill, and Fayetteville Koa is a perfect campground nearby. Get dripping wet paddling on Upper Little River, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Group Camp Trail.       Ennis Pond is a quite wet place usually with a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and November is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Ennis Pond is not far at all from Dunn, and nice water scenery is available at Smith Lake Dam close to Ennis Pond. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Ennis Pond has it all. Drift down the rapids of Cape Fear in a kayak; after a long day outdoors Microtel                  Inn And Suites Lillington, NC is a great place to spend a night or two. Anderson Creek flows through this area, and if you need a spot to stay Fayetteville-Days Inn North/Wade/I-95/Exit 58 is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Little Creek Loop Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Summertime highs at Ennis Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's.
