Enka Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Do have a look at J and J Fishing Lake near Enka Lake, it's a pretty lake; a tour to Blue Ridge Parkway is worthwhile. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Enka Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Enka Lake. While you're here at Enka Lake, you could also take

| | a look at wonderful Bent Creek Ranch Lake, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Pigeon River - Big East Fork. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn ASHEVILLE - BILTMORE WEST is a great choice; everybody nearby loves skiing at Wolf Laurel. can take a hike along the Shut-In Trail; Scott Mountain is stunning and can be seen from here. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a splendid time. Why not camp at Lake Powhatan Campground since you're here at Enka
Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Side Hill Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn West is a tremendous location to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Bear Creek RV Park and Campground
is a tremendous spot to camp. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. The skiing at Ski Beech is tremendous; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always
go whitewater paddling on French Broad River. This lake is so wonderful. A quick spree to Baldwin Field Branch in close proximity to Enka Lake is a glorious idea, and the Laurel Mountain Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close
by. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. A nice spot to go to near Enka Lake is Baldwin Gap. Enka Lake gets a great deal of water; July is the wettest month with most rain,
and the driest month is October. And that's not all you can do here at Enka Lake. There's some interesting stuff to see at Enka Lake Dam right next door to Enka Lake, and at Enka Lake you always meet someone from Asheville.
