It's a good idea to visit Baldwin Field Branch, it's next to Enka Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Starnes Cove Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Shut-In Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; close by you hit upon fine sites like Baldwin Gap. That right there is a lot of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge       Mountains has it all. The slopes of Wolf Laurel are so inviting nobody can resist. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area next to Enka Lake has to offer. Hiking along the Side Hill Trail is pleasant fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Pigeon River - Big East Fork offers some pleasant whitewater. If the weather is good here at Enka Lake, you can go for a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail, and get yourself into a                  kayak and hit French Broad River. Enka Lake truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Bear Creek RV Park and Campground is a pleasant local campground; there's always Enka Lake Dam to stop by near Enka Lake. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Ski Beech is a pleasant local ski area. Lakes? Sure, Thrash Lake is nearby. There are plenty of folks from Asheville here at Enka Lake, and the summit of Scott Mountain can be observed from Enka Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for a pleasant spree? Blue Ridge Parkway is pretty near Enka Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn West. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a brilliant time. Why not camp at Lake Powhatan Campground while you're here at Enka Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn ASHEVILLE - BILTMORE WEST is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Enka Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Summertime at Enka Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
