In North Carolina there are many beautiful lakes, Emerald Lake is one of them. Take a hike on the Stamping Ground Trail, and Toe River - South is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. Emerald Lake gets a great deal of water; July is the month that gets the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly.

| | Brushy Creek is a charming stream that is worth going to, and the peak of Chalk Mountain can be made out from Emerald Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Marion is a perfect site to get some rest, and do go to Laurel Lake, it's a stunning lake. Hootowl Hollow is a splendid place to visit near Emerald Lake. hours it's mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Emerald Lake.
