Many people like to go to Emerald Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Red Fork Falls Trail is tremendous fun. Lakes? Sure, Deer Park Lake is nearby. A great nearby hotel is Americourt Hotel-Mountain City. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A delightful view of charming Chalk Mountain is available from Emerald Lake; if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Marion is a perfect choice.

| | of the year here at Emerald Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's; the night is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Emerald Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. warmed up. Going for a hike along the Stamping Ground Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you came for an overnight stay Blue Ridge Gemstone Mine and Campground is a magnificent place to camp.
Golf
can be played at Grassy Creek Golf & Country Club, and unsurprisingly Brushy Creek is a pretty stream that is worth stopping at. Near Emerald Lake you hit upon delightful places like Hootowl Hollow, and Bear Ben Family Campground
is a perfect campground nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Emerald Lake is right by the Bald Mountain Trail, and if you come at the
right time of year, Toe River - South offers some great whitewater. The high level of rainfall makes Emerald Lake a rather wet place; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
