Be careful coming to Elmore Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. There are plenty of people from Statesville-Mooresville here at Elmore Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CONOVER (HICKORY       AREA) is a fine choice. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Claremont. Elmore Dam is not far at all from Elmore Lake, needless to say you could also check out Murrays Mill Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime at Elmore Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Elmore Lake. This                  lake is so wonderful.
