Rowlands Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore. Paddling on Tar River is so much fun, and after a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Henderson is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. At Ellis Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. The winter comes with highs       in the 40's while Ellis Pond night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. From a precipitation point of view Ellis Pond is a pretty typical location; July is the month that gets the most rain, and November is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Steele Creek Marina is a brilliant campground nearby, and Ellis Pond is not far at all from Henderson. Any time is a pleasant time at Ellis Pond if you adore the outdoors. Cattail Creek                  flows through this neighborhood; you can take a little visit to Ellis Pond Dam while you're here at Ellis Pond.
