There's some flowing water nearby, Pots Branch is a stream you can take a look at while here; you can take a little tour to Dunnaway Lake Dam while you're here at Dunnaway Pond. A lake nearby is Upper Springdale Estates Lake; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Raleigh, Glenwood-Crabtree. If you need a spot to stay Hampton Inn RaleighCrabtree is a good choice. at Dunnaway Pond are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Neuse River, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Raleigh-Cary.
Wildwood Green Golf Club is a good golf course close by. There's so much to do here at Dunnaway Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Broadreach Summer Adventures is a tremendous spot for that.

Beaverdam Lake
 | 14 miles away Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot.
