Paddling on Deep River is so much fun, and Jordan Dam RV Park and Campground is a wonderful local campground. Yeah, come here to Duck Pond for a great time. From Duck Pond you obtain a wonderful sight of Round Top, and if you're visiting from Sanford, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is nice on Little River, and do take a hike on the Northington Ferry Trail. Why not camp at Heritage Camping and Recreation if you're

| | here at Duck Pond, and as expected, this is a perfect area for people who like lakes, Morris Pond is a lake in close proximity. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Duck Pond; Campbell Creek Loop is a great local trail, and a golf course close by is Carolina Lakes Golf Course. Why not have a look at close by Duck Pond Branch if you're here at Duck Pond, and if you need a place to stay Jameson Inn Sanford is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. | |

MacDonald Swamp is a swamp near Duck Pond; a good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANFORD. All through the days of summer highs here at Duck Pond reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. All through
the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Duck Pond temperatures fall to the 20's. This place, Duck Pond, it simply has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Duck Pond is a wet place that
gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; April is the month with the least moisture. Nearby lakes? Sure, Huckleberry Pond is in the neighborhood of Duck Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lanier Falls Trail.

 | 18 miles away I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo. We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so.... |
Smith Lake
 | 18 miles away Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |
