Dry Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Utt's Campground is a great local campground, and if you need a site to stay Mt. Airy Knights Inn is a splendid choice. Dry Lake generally gets lots of precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest       month of the year is January. A glorious close by hotel is Quality Inn Mount Airy, and you're sure to bump into some great people from Mount Airy here. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is abundant here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't leave Dry Lake without first going for a hike along the Run Trail; if you came to camp Homeplace Recreational Park is a great place to do that. Dry Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you want a splendid                  time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Fisher River. If you come at the right time of year, Ararat River offers some splendid whitewater, and you're almost certainly hooked on lakes, City Lake is one of those close by. At Dry Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dry Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Brushy Fork flows through this region.
