If you are in this part of North Carolina make sure to pay a visit to Dry Lake. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Utt's Campground, and lakes are such serene places, why not visit Doggett Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Run Trail is always a nice adventure, and if you need a location to stay Mt. Airy Knights Inn is a good choice. Dry Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dry Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Homeplace Recreational Park is a splendid place to camp
nearby, and Brushy Fork is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. Throughout the summertime here at Dry Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.
High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Dry Lake. Here at Dry Lake there are plenty of folks from Mount Airy, and Greenhill Lake is a perfect lake nearby.
