This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. A splendid nearby hotel is Star Lite Motel, and get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Fisher River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Dry Lake a wet location; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile is the driest month. You'll wish for more hours       in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Dry Lake. A fine spot to camp here at Dry Lake is Utt's Campground; going for a hike along the Run Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Fox Trail Campground since you're here at Dry Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ararat River. During the warm months at Dry Lake highs are usually in the 80's.                  Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dry Lake are in the 20's. Dry Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Brushy Fork is near Dry Lake and is always a delight to explore; the friendly people of Mount Airy like to hang out close by. So much exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time.
