High temperatures at Doziers Lake all through the summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Doziers Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. If you need a location to stay Rocky Mount - Days Inn Goldrock/I-95 is a splendid choice; nearby you hit upon the Discovery Loop Trail which       is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Gideon Swamp flows through this neighborhood; the fine people of Rocky Mount like to hang out nearby. On a great day at Doziers Lake you can take a hike along the Bluff Loop Trail; a good spot to camp here at Doziers Lake is Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Doziers Lake. You can run the rapids of Tar River in the neighborhood                  of Doziers Lake; Doziers Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, KOA Campgrounds is a wonderful local campground. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Doziers Lake Dam. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Doziers Lake called the Stream Loop Trail, and a fine close by hotel is Guesthouse Rocky Mount.
