This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you need a location to stay Mt. Airy Knights Inn is a delightful choice; an afternoon playing golf at Pine Ridge Classic Golf Course & Driving Range is always a bliss. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Fisher River; unsurprisingly Beech Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth       checking out. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Doggett Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Utt's Campground is a brilliant spot for that, and if you're stopping by from Mount Airy, you won't be the only one. All the water falling down from the sky makes Doggett Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is January. Get wet paddling on Ararat River, and there is a great hiking trail                  close by called the Run Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Doggett Lake; the night is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Doggett Lake. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Mount Airy. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location.
