The beauty of Different Drum Lake is reason enough to stop by. A great deal of rain falls at Different Drum Lake; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and December is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Suites Boone is a splendid site to spend a night or two. You can make out Baird Mountain from Different Drum Lake, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail. Yeah, come here to Different
Drum Lake for a tremendous time. Different Drum Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Honey Bear Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and the Iron Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
So much exciting stuff to do here at Different Drum Lake, too wonderful to be true. Really good skiing awaits you at Sugar Mountain, and lakes are such calm places, why not go to Rosasco Lake Upper. Here at Different Drum Lake there
are plenty of people from Boone, and if you come at the right time of year, Watauga River offers some good whitewater. Some of the water nearby flows, like Dutch Creek, and Vanderpool Campgrounds is a pleasant campground nearby.
