There's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Lake Genele Dam near Deavers Pond; after a long day outdoors Goldsboro NC is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Deavers Pond through the days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 50's with winter       lows in the 30's overnight here at Deavers Pond. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Green Branch flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Lake Genele is one of those nearby, and if you came to camp Maxwell Mill Campground is a tremendous spot to do that. The high level of precipitation makes Deavers Pond a reasonably wet spot; through July this area sees the most rain, and October                  on the other hand is the driest. Lakes are splendid; Whitfields Pond is a lake that's next to Deavers Pond; camping at Whippoorwill Campground is always a great experience.   Sleep Inn Mount Olive, Mount Olive 8 miles away Walking distance to Mount Olive College, restaurants and shopping centers.
